M TABE
solo guitar
+ dj set: Sistemi Audiofobici Burp

M TABE aka Marco Tabellini plays electric guitar. Born in 1985, he hasn’t followed any academic course, developing a particular range of etherogeneous techniques and sounds. From Winter 2005-2006 to Spring 2009 he’s been playing with the group Auto da fè. During the year 2007 he started home-recording solo electric guitar improvisations, inspired by avant-garde jazz and contemporary classical composers. In winter 2007-2008 he met the Bologna improvisers scene, attending open jam sessions and playing a number of concerts of free improvisation with different groups. In 2009 he’s been focusing on more structured improvisation. He shared stages with Renato Ciunfrini, Stefano Colli, Antonio d’Intino, Dario Fariello, Stefano Ferrian, Filippo Giuffrè, Stefano Giust, Andrea Grillini, Nicola Guazzaloca, Tristan Honsinger, Enrico Malatesta, Edoardo Marraffa, Brian Mitchell, Manuel Mota, Patrizia Oliva, Stefano Pilia, Beppe Scardino, Vincenzo Vasi, Zona MC, Antares, and others, in stable or impromptu ensembles… In March 2009 Setola di Maiale released his first album, “15 improvisations for solo electric guitar“. His second album, “12 improvised compositions for solo electric guitar” (always on Setola di Maiale), is published in June 2009. Now he’s working on a new project involving written scores.

semerssuaq-cassafort

Semerssuaq are WJ Meatball (Jealousy Party, Sistemi Audiofobici Burp) and JD Zazie (B Unit, Sistemi Audiofobici Burp).
The freeform Cut’ n Roll duo was born in Florence at the end of the 90’s at the Soul Limbo Studio based in C.P.A. Fi-Sud. From that improvised, freeform/rock and electronic music scene, they developed their techniques manipulating sound using basically dj tools.
Collaborations with Brynja Cortes Andrésdóttir (cello), CCMonkey (violin), Edoardo Ricci (wind instruments) and Letizia Renzini (electronics) have been occasions to deveope their language into electro-acoustic and electronic music.
In 2009, after a break of three years and a half, the project Semerssuaq started again. They recently toured with TSÜ (Robert Curvengen and Joerg Maria Zeger) and performed at Staalplaat Radio .

They recorded some new material with Andrea Caprara at Isola Cannon Jack Studio with Andrea Caprara and have out a 3″cd in the Burp Sonic Inventions series for Burp Publications

palestine
Charlemagne Palestine
(USA/B)
A contemporary of Philip Glass, Terry Riley, Phill Niblock, and Steve Reich, Palestine wrote intense, ritualistic music in the 1970s, intended by the composer to rub against Western audiences’ expectations of what is beautiful and meaningful in music. Although his earliest works were compositions for carillon and electronic drones, he is perhaps best known for his intensely performed piano works, which almost seem ritualistic: he generally surrounds himself (and his piano) with stuffed animals, smokes large numbers of kretek, and drinks cognac.

summersRod Summers
(UK/NL)
“As children we were taught that the Universe was Infinite and that Time was Eternal…”
Rod Summers (1943 Verwood, England, Living in Maastricht, NL since 1973) has been producing and recording audio art for more than 40 years.
Now he will take us on his acoustic journey with his new piece “the Size of Time’, a prepared piece with live interventions, where his fascination to spatiality has a central role.
“Twinkle, twinkle little star, Now I know just what you are!”

zazieJD Zazie
(It/D)
What happens when a DJ uses her specific language to build up a temporary sonic environment with urban soundscapes?

Recognizable sounds, everyday sounds, urban sounds are mixed together creating a new abstract decontextualized environment, in order to create an intimate aural dialog with the listeners. The result could relate with your own sonic identity? What are you listening to? Jd Zazie takes you along on a adventurous auditory trip.

Bart Koppe
(NL) (‘Mixing Cities’)
Mixing Cities brings together the real time, live sounds of several cities in an audiovisual installation. The environmental sounds at five locations are picked up by microphones and directly transmitted to Mixing Cities. One can koppeadjust the volume of the incoming sounds by using the faders. In this way it is possible to listen to the sounds of one or more cities at the same time. Apart from the live sound, the current lighting at the locations is registered with sensors and directly translated into the light intensity of the lamps. By choosing and switching between the cities one can make his own journey between the cities and get a different experience of distances and space.

AMORE & MERDA

September 29th, 2009

AMORE e MERDA – A Transexual Duet About Desire.

Amore e Merda deconstructs the body to a faceless reservoir of impulses and desires. Between physical sensations and social schemes, the bodies search for identity. In an attempt to satisfy their needs buried deep within, the bodies speak.

The work of Giulia Mureddu is characterized by multilayered performances in which disarming humor, theatrical and physical dance intermingle
