Jealousy Party is one of the most significant creative music units in Italy, and the major act in the Burp Enterprise collective. The Florence- based ensemble, even though its members are spread all around the planet, is active since 1995.

The merging of a vivid live performance with self-recycling through the spontaneous use of playback devices has become one of Jealousy Party’s most crucial trademarks.
For this album, Berlin based artist/ composer Nicolas Wiese has joined the trio in a studio recording session, followed by a casual stereo recorded meeting in Pogo’s living room. His main part however, would begin after the recording sessions. In his studio, he takes apart and re-configurates mostly everything played, but with a clear focus on maintaining the JP characteristics of expression.

The production and mixing process took a couple of years.
The result are four dense tracks, in which Wiese’s radical treatment expands idiosyncratic JP sound in surprising areas of syncretism.

La Rivincita si propone come momento di incontro e aggregazione per chi compone musica con materiale elettronico e per gli appassionati.
Dal synth alla drum machine, dal circuit bending alla loop station, da ableton ai mangianastri, la Rivincita è aperta a tutti.

Le esibizioni hanno la durata di circa 15 min.

L’ordine di esibizione viene tirato a sorte la sera stessa.

La partecipazione è aperta a chiunque componga musica propria prevalentemente con strumentazione elettronica.

Improv veterans quartet with Filippo Monico (drums and percussions), Edoardo Ricci (alto, sopranino and soprano saxophones, bass clarinet, trombone, cheap electronics), Eugenio Sanna (electric guitar and objects) and Luca Tilli (cello) will play an unique set at teatro Cantiere in Trastevere in Rome. Then they will record a studio session. We just have to wait and listen.

Some BURP units will participate at this annual meeting of FKL. Edoardo Ricci and Stefano Bartolini as part of the Wind Ensamble will play compositions of Luigi Guarnieri. JD Zazie alias Valeria Merlini together with Felicity Ford will present a short version of the sonic impressions of the last day of  Tuned City Tallinn ”10. July 2011 – third conference day”. The recordings and the piece were realized at the festival during the workshop framework radio – documentation and production. More detailed infos on the program.
