1. Klaus Kürvers | Julian Bonequi

Natural feedback around noise, emotional instability, semantic landscapes and cathartic explosions and even alienated as an act of concentration.

Klaus Kürvers born 1950 in Essen (Germany), doublebass studies 1964-68 among others with Peter Trunk. During the late sixties member of the Essen Youth Symphony Orchestra and also at the same time of different amateur Jazz groups (“Free Jazz” since 1967); 1969-71 in Cologne with the Jazz-Rock-Group “Eiliff” (w/Rainer Brüninghaus). Interrupted 1972-2006 his public music activities for his studies and professional scientific career as an architect and cultural historian in Berlin. Since 2006 resumption of his musical activities as part of the Berlin improvisers scene.

Julian Bonequi (1974 ) is a mexican artist working mostly with noise and extreme improvisation since 1995. Curator of Audition Records [realtime music ]. Decibel (Mexico 1999). FOCO Orchestra ( Madrid 2006-2010). Has performed under the conduction of William Parker, Keith Tippett, Eddie Prévost, London Improvisers Orchestra, Berlin Improviser Orchestra and played with Olaf Rupp, Hans Tammen, Dave Tucker, Umut Çağlar… Julian currently is working with toy drums and amplified voice as soloist [releases: Sangre Azteca (Berlin-Istanbul) | Comechingones (Barcelona) | Angry Lords (AIR-Krems) ]

2. Mat Pogo
vocals

Born in Rome and resident in Berlin. In the 90′s he was one of the founder members of the Burp Enterprise collective and Jealousy Party, one of the most advanced musical units in Italy, mixing with personal touch soul, improv, avant rock, noise and error music.
In the years he developed his own language as a singer/voice-artist using his experience as a rock singer, an improviser and radio-artist where music, sounds, anecdotic and narrative elements fuse constantly.
Beside Jealousy Party other projects he’s currently involved are Pokemachine (w/Anders Hana), Penates(w/JD Zazie), B Unit (w/JD Zazie & Peter Schlewinski), duo collaborations with Ignaz Schick, Michael Renkel, Nicolas Wiese and DJ collective Sistemi Audiofobici Burp.

BURP Enterprise is proud to present an evening of throbbing harsh music in sleepy Firenze.
On Wednesday September 28 At circolo Aurora a new impro noise duo by neoprimitive turntablist from Paris Arnaud Rivière together with neapolitan feedback/reed player Mario Gabola. They are touring Italy these days.
In contrast to the harsh burst of electricity Rivière and Gabola are supposed to perform a totally acoustic duo of trumpet player Marco Baldini and multireed player Edoardo Ricci will display a set of inner idiosyncratic borborygmi explorations.
Sistemi Audiofobici Burp will spin records with the usual snobby attitude.

ARNAUD RIVIERE
Utilizza un dispositivo elettroacustico rudimentale costruito intorno a un vecchio giradischi riparato, un mixer preparato e altre attrezzature primitive, che hanno bisogno di essere manipolate per controllare il flusso sonoro.

Arnaud Riviere pratica libera improvvisazione, da solista, in gruppi e attraverso collaborazioni, dalla fine degli anni ’90.
Orbita nell’area del DIY: pezzi di metallo, fili e roba conficcata nel mixer, l’output che rientra nell’input, anche se tutto non è stato affatto fabricato per questo; perché no, pick up in plastica, qualcosa esploderà sicuramente, ma tutto è rinforzato per resistere.
Non necessariamente utilizza registrazioni sui giradischi, a volte anche dischi di metallo o altri materiali.
Anche microfoni a contatto, che cadono ovunque, senza rientrare, spesso ficcati attraverso molle metalliche.
…in ogni modo e senza imbarazzo , (ma con entrambe le mani), Arnaud Rivière fa la propria musica con cambi improvvisi e variazioni accidentali.

“…la performance di Arnaud è tutt’altro che delicata.
Vi attaccherà con suoni grezzi, generati da oggetti rotanti sul giradischi e da fili pericolosi scoperti inseriti direttamente nel mixer.
Il suo intervento sonoro è estatico ma è anche abbastanza distaccato da dare accenni a momenti di sarcasmo prima che si muova per distruggere altri oggetti, solo per un piacere uditivo.
Arnaud è un turntablist importante che estende le pratiche di Otomo Yoshihide e Martin Tetreault, dove il suono crudo dei materiali distrugge qualsiasi tipo di riferimento o funzionalità per cui il mezzo era stato originariamente costruito…”

MARIO GABOLA
Fa parte dal 2002 della band impro-noise-core A Spirale. Inizialmente come sax è molto influenzato dai linguaggi del freejazz, mano mano si spinge verso lidi più estremi che vengono dalle pratiche e dalla ricerca dell’ impro radicale europea, sfruttando con il sax l’effetto del feedback, e altre tecniche di estensione dello strumento.
Fonda successivamente insieme a SEC_ dei Weltraum gli Aspec(t), prossimo il tour di presentazione tra Svizzera e Francia del loro lavoro per l’etichetta francese Nuun.

Contemporaneamente iniza una fondamentale collaborazione con Agostino Di Scipio che da anni si dedica allo studio dell’ecologia della musica, con cui approfondisce lo studio del feedback estendendolo attraverso l’utilizzo di catene elettroacustiche autocostruite e negli effetti di risonanza delle percussioni (feeddrum).

ARNAUD RIVIERE & MARIO GABOLA
Nessuna concessione verso il bello o il riferimento musicale, sembra annullarsi ogni possibilità di rappresentazione musicale (se la musica ne ha mai avuta una), una distruzione del simbolico che fa presagire un futuro primitvo, senza separazione/mediazione dell’uomo con la natura, utilizzando Cornelius Cardew ,”barbari della musica”; Tutto viene fuori attraverso un attitudine degna delle esperienze della sperimentazione industriale quale Voice Crack, Hugh Davies, Borbetomagus, Gunter Muller, Otomo Yoshihide ecc e allo stesso tempo prende dal dinamismo della tradizione di impro radicale inglese e tedesca degli anni ’70.
