She Tre will play at Teatro dell’Arte in viale Alemagna 6 at 11.15 p.m.
together with a performance by Cristina Negro, Barbara Toma and Vincenzo Carta.

Waristerror Terroriswar (now TSIGOTI) is a collaborative and improvisational quazi-punk band dedicated to expressing their opposition for war, authoritarian regimes, and violent religious extremes. It’s a band made up of members from two different continents with a tremendous amount of experience in a wide variety of musical situations. Their first album transpired the year after the 2006 war between Lebanon and Israel though it is not about that war specifically but war in general. Some songs were written in a few hours, and without teaching them to each other they recorded the first album “TheBrutalRealityOfModernBrutality” in 3 days. They met again this past year to record a second album “Private Poverty Speaks To The People Of The Party”, play their first shows to wildly enthusiastic audiences, and reconfirm their collective skeptical optimism.
TSIGOTI (meaning ‘I see’ in Cherokee language) is the next step. Same people, same instruments, same improvisational spirit, now with more involvement and time to craft songs. This time war is seen from the inside, from people who suffer being attacked, trapped, imprisoned, terrorized and tricked. The music has become more complex, with guest musicians from our Valdisieve family (Edoardo Ricci, Samuele Venturin, Francesco di Mauro, and a choir of a dozen of friends). A multi-layered approach to the sound, exploiting new recording techniques and equipment, brings Tsigoti sound to your ears exploding in all its controversial spikes. The artwork is signed by master cartoonist Squaz and the album will be released in december 2009 by ESP-Disk, distributed worldwide.

“Special Duo” un progetto di Eugenio Sanna e Phil Minton , è di scena al Circolo ARCI Caracol a Pisa in Via Battichiodi 10 , mercoledì 11 novembre alle ore 24.00.
Notte profonda per la musica improvvisata. La notte come ormai da millenni ben si sa, apporta a qualsiasi avvenimento che si svolga nel centro del suo cuore, delle energie sottili, misteriose ma potenti al tempo stesso.
Tra i fattori che sicuramente influenzano la creazione della musica e il suo andamento, ci sono sicuramente la scansione del tempo in senso orario e gli ambienti in cui essa si svolge. In questo caso l’esibizione dello Special Duo , “round about midnight” , può essere o non essere allusiva al celebre tema di T. Monk. Misteri dell’improvvisazione nel cuore della notte.
I due musicisti che calcano da svariati anni le scene vecchie e nuove della musica improvvisata, danno luogo a creazioni istantanee rapide e fulminee, espressivamente intense , producendo suoni vocali e strumentali, talvolta urlati, sbrecciati, ansimati, scorticati, piagnucolosi, aciduli, sommessi e sguaiati. Le corde vocali incontrano quelle della chitarra e attraverso questa unione, vengono rivissuti gli infiniti volti che albergano all’interno dell’anima umana , dando voce alle misteriose entità che si celano in ognuno di noi e conferendo ad esse dignità e corpo , in un gioco variegato e produttivo di un sound dalle mille tinte e sfaccettature e di intenso lirismo espressivo.
Phil Minton nasce a Torquay nel Regno Unito nel 1940, da genitori cantanti. A 15 anni impara la tromba e suona e canta con gruppi jazz locali. Nel ’63 si sposta a Londra per suonare la cornetta nella Brass-Band di Mike Westbrook dando concerti ovunque nel mondo . Attraverso gli ultimi 30 anni , ha lavorato soprattutto come cantante-vocalista. Ha collaborato con il pianista Veryan Weston ed è attualmente membro di gruppi di improvvisazione come TooT, 5 Men Singing, Forc, Adorno. Suona in quartetto anche con lo stesso Veryan, J. Butcher e Roger Turner, dando luogo ad un progetto di sperimentazione e improvvisazione totale. Ha suonato anche con Isabell Duthoit , Maggie Nicols , Audrey Chen , Terry Day , Hug Metcalfe , Daunik Lazro e Sophie Agnel . E’ stato insignito della onoreficienza Nesta nel 2005 e negli ultimi 15 anni , ha dato concerti in molti paesi, con il suo “Feral Choir“, un seminario –concerto per tutte le persone che vogliono cantare .
Eugenio Sanna , chitarrista originale e versatile , conduce da sempre una ricerca di rigore estremo che non conosce compromessi. Ha partecipato dal 1976 fino al 1986, alla fondazione del C.R.I.M. (Centro per la Ricerca sull ‘ Improvvisazione Musicale) a Pisa città dove attualmente vive Ha collaborato con i maggiori musicisti contemporanei e esponenti della musica improvvisata ma anche con artisti provenienti da altre aree espressive: Peter Kowald , Derek Bailey , Roger Turner, Edoardo Ricci, John Zorn, Giovanni Canale, Tristan Honsinger, Stefano Bartolini , Giuseppe Chiari, John Edwards, Edoardo Marraffa, Steve Noble, Tony Rusconi, Esther Lamneck, Ute Volker e molti altri Interessato alla fusione dei diversi linguaggi artistici, partecipa e progetta performance anche con danzatori quali Roberto Castello , Cheryl Banks, Manrico Fiorentini , Atsushi Takenouchi e con l’artista visiva Tuia Cherici, crea e porta avanti il ” Manucinema “, un live-set legato al linguaggio video e al suo rapporto con la musica improvvisata. A partire dal ‘ 94, viene invitato a tenere periodicamente delle lezioni sulla musica improvvisata dal dipartimento di musica contemporanea ed elettronica, della New York University, per gli studenti di quella università.
