Dear Hearts posted some new songs.
Check Miss Lucky Haskins singing Tell Me and Don’t Wanna Know.
And to make clear they are not joking they play also a rendition of I Really Don’t Want to Know, originally by Les Paul and Mary Ford, with some luscious slide guitar by Nicotina.

POGO SOLOS

November 14th, 2007

Here some sonic environmental blabbermouth by Mat Pogo.
These videos are from the Jealousy Party personal archive, you can find some more here.
So get embarassed watching this punk doing his retroguard little thing.
His suggestion is to play them simultaneously for better psychic results. Enjoy.
This is pure colonial mouthsinging at his middling!

PLANET DESTROYER & ZORRO

November 12th, 2007

Ok. First serious post with comix.
We are working to have a better layout for showing our glittering burp comix on this site.
You will see in the near future. For now get these two by myself and Nicotina in this miniaturized version.
Just rub them and they will grow bigger. You know how.
Mine, in full electrical color, is supposed to be part of the forthcoming “Mental Cheese” collection.
Nicotina’s “Zorro Zorro Zorro” is his first experiment with Milton Caniff’s own personal drawing-nib and hopefully will be part of a series including stories such “The Mark of Zorro”, “Kill Zorro”, “Son of Zorro”, “Zorro Forever”, “What is Zorro Doing?”.

TAKING THE A TRAIN TO THE FLOWER WORLD

Dear navigators,
It seems kind of difficult these days to find a moment to post anything about the several things going on here in the Burp Universe. Very soon we will post a report about the Jealousy Party recent tour, about the next Burp Publications releases, and the million of unpredictable directions of the Burp System. We are working on this blog/site in order to complete the many pages wich are not done yet and the mailorder, the Colonial Emporium. Personally in the last two weeks I was lost in a myopic fog also, but now i’ve got new glasses. And i’m back to life!!! So be prepared for some surprises in the next days. ..ah! i was forgetting…after a bit of struggling our address

http://www.burpenterprise.com

is properly working again. So update your bookmarks!
At the moment listen this Dolphy’s freaking out bass clarinet solo.
It’s the Charles Mingus Sextet wrestling with the Ellington’s classic.
Edoardo Ricci showed it to a feverish Jealousy Party, here in Berlin a couple of weeks ago, as an exorcism to get rid of all our bad colds.
It didn’t actually work, but after that the sun did’nt set down for four days!
So try it by yourself.

See you soon.
volcanian greetings
yours mat pogo

CASUAL GUITARS & SLAPPODROME

November 6th, 2007

Nicotina posted four brand new casual guitar (de)compositions!
Casual guitar is a process that courts te “areas of ignorance of the player’s conscience”, a zig zag course between musical sediments which are nonetheless employed and stepped through.
Listen to Casual 9, Casual 90, Casual 56 and Casual 80 here

The picture above is by Linda Treash, check her site here

And then after the reunion this summer he played back again with Barnacled.
They played in Providence (Rhode Island) at the Corleone Fest, celebrating ten years of the label’s activity.

The first day Nicotina played with Barnacled and -the second day, dedicated to duo combinations- with Thollem McDonas.
Watch here Nicotina’s Slappodromo in the blistering Barnacled rendition.
