Ordinary Departures:
\nChoreographers Giulia Mureddu<\/a><\/strong> and Keren Levi<\/a><\/strong> with musician Tom Parkinson<\/a><\/strong> reframe the everyday in their work, and the work finds itself out of a million encounters \u2013with their family, friends, collaborators, ideas, technologies, forms and the work of others. Some of these departures are taken back out of the theatre and presented here.
\nThe three will frame their performances of Prossimo and Envelopes with a series of events in and around the theatre. These include lectures, installations, workshops and concerts and will open up the concern, processes and inspirations that make up their choreographic practice.<\/p>\n

Ordinary Departures is an initiative of Giulia Mureddu\/ Stichting Broccoli, Keren Levi and Tom Parkinson\/Stichting Neverlike. Levi and Mureddu are both alumni of the newly relaunched Dansmakers Amsterdam who support the project along with Frascati and Grand Theatre, Groningen.

\nEnvelopes is a dance concert that plays with the bonds between movement and sound within the theme of siblinghood. Levi and Parkinson invite their siblings to collaborate in an interdisciplinary show that celebrates the kinship ties of blood, music and dance.

The Triumph of the Insignificant (lecture)<\/p>\n

\nKaminer contrasts the radical idea of everyday life with ‘the ordinary’, and delineates the manner in which the most \u2018ordinary\u2019 objects of industrial society could emerge as the primary vehicle of capitalist accumulation. Tahl Kaminer is assistant professor at the Faculty of Architecture, TU Delft.<\/p>\n

Turf (lecture)<\/p>\n

David Mulder

\nThrough social media millions of people report all their everyday minutiae. Turf (Dutch for running total) is a magnification of that trend. Mulder has set the goal for the year 2011 to count all his daily actions.
\nDavid Mulder is the author of novels, theatrical texts and a children\u2019s book.<\/p>\n

With this workshop the participants will have the opportunity to research methods that permit to intensify their performance by undergoing a precarious state characteristic of a body that is \u201cstrange to itself\u201d. They will process their idiom through the stuttering of irregular repetitions, blocks and disfiguring textures. This will be achieved through an associative, emphatic and binary practice that questions the limits of the body and explores the relationship between the “self” and the “other, the intuition and control, the chaos and order.<\/p>\n

Choreographer, performance-maker, artistic adviser and teacher Bruno Listopad has a diverse body of work which has won him awards and commissions throughout Europe.\u00a0www.disjointedarts.com<\/a><\/p>\n
