The series will embrace concerts, exhibitions \/ installations, film screenings, workshops and lectures. Quiet Cue focusses on intermedia works, collaborative works, distinctive video art, and different musical concepts between electroacoustics, contemporary composition and relational music.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/_b0tYwEk7eCo\/S0CPJ2xkkcI\/AAAAAAAAACI\/wnHCZLEOIu4\/s1600\/qc_2010-01-14-FINALWEBcorr.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/_b0tYwEk7eCo\/S0CPJ2xkkcI\/AAAAAAAAACI\/wnHCZLEOIu4\/s1600\/qc_2010-01-14-FINALWEBcorr.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"559\" height=\"357\" \/><\/a><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>quiet cue #002<\/strong><br \/>\nThursday, January 14th 8pm<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.myspace.com\/hotelgaeste\"><strong><br \/>\nHotelg\u00e4ste<\/strong> <\/a>is a Canadian\/German trio based in Berlin, drawing upon diverse experiences within their environment to explore a new music created in the moment; sonic densities and vast cold silences are juxtaposed to bring architectural like structural integrity to their  improvisations.<br \/>\nPopulation and solitude, traffic jams and back country ways, amplification and quietness, acoustic and electric, exploratory and communication, and of course conversations with the many different guests make this hotel an exciting musical experience.<br \/>\nIn August 2005, they released their debut album \u2018<strong>Flowers You Can Eat<\/strong>\u2019, on the Berlin label<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.schraum.de\/\"><strong> Schraum<\/strong><\/a>. A release of live recordings made on tour in Germany and Switzerland is available<br \/>\nnow as a limited edition vinyl.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.myspace.com\/herrhaller\"><br \/>\n<strong>Axel Haller <\/strong><\/a>is a bass player from Berlin, Germany.<br \/>\nHe improvises compositions and composes improvisations.<br \/>\nAnd he listens.<br \/>\nHaller plays in different settings and situations, with spontaneous groups, working groups like <strong>kainkwatett<\/strong> or <strong>Trio Vop\u00e1<\/strong>, performs as a soloist, and improvises \/ composes music for<br \/>\naudio-books, theater groups, dance performances.<br \/>\nAlong with Torsten Papenheim and Merle Bennett he is running the label <a href=\"http:\/\/www.schraum.de\/\">schraum<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/_b0tYwEk7eCo\/S0BeFIBzl9I\/AAAAAAAAACA\/pRem2cggKU8\/s1600\/qc_2010-01-19-FINALWEBcorr.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/_b0tYwEk7eCo\/S0BeFIBzl9I\/AAAAAAAAACA\/pRem2cggKU8\/s1600\/qc_2010-01-19-FINALWEBcorr.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"602\" height=\"383\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>quiet cue #003<\/strong><br \/>\nTuesday, January 19th 8pm<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/virb.com\/semerssuaq\"><br \/>\nSemerssuaq<\/a><\/strong> are WJ Meatball (Jealousy Party, Sistemi Audiofobici Burp) and<br \/>\nJD Zazie (B Unit, Sistemi Audiofobici Burp).<br \/>\nThe freeform Cut&#8217; n Roll duo was born in Florence at the end of the 90&#8217;s at the Soul<br \/>\nLimbo Studio based in C.P.A. Fi-Sud. From that improvised, freeform\/rock and<br \/>\nelectronic music scene, they developed their technique manipolating sound using<br \/>\nbasically dj tools.<br \/>\nCollaborations with Brynja Cortes Andr\u00e9sd\u00f3ttir (cello), CCMonkey (violin),<br \/>\nEdoardo Ricci (wind instruments) and Letizia Renzini (electronics) have been<br \/>\noccasions to deveope their own language of electro-acoustic and electronic music.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Quiet Cue is a new series of events, taking place at the studio\/project space adapted to the Staalplaat store in Berlin-Neukoelln.
