SEMERSSUAQ XL AND SEIJI MORIMOTO AT QUIET CUE – BERLIN

Womenbeings: words in contexts is the title of their new performance which will have his première September 28th  for the Quiet Cue series in Berlin

The performance finds relations and interaction between sonic distortions and modulations in extemporary processing with short video pieces. Concerning tales of everyday tensions between affective language and languages of professional contexts

Quiet Cue is a working space and series of selected events, adapted to the Staalplaat store in Berlin-Neukoelln.
Quiet Cue focusses on intermedia works, collaborative works, distinctive video art, and different musical concepts between electroacoustic, contemporary composition and relational music.

The evening will have sound artist Seji Morimoto performing as well.
Born in Tokyo 1971, studied musicology at the Kunitachi College of Music, graduating in 1996. During this period he began to play the electronic pieces by John Cage and his own sound performances. Since then he has been creating sound performances, installations and videos. In 2003 Morimoto moved to Berlin, has performed and exhibited in many international festivals including transmediale in Berlin , Experimental Music in Munich. He is interested in the uncertain acoustic appearances between usual objects, for example water and stones, and the technical medium.
